The Tunesmiths are set to make their first full length record right here in Louisville. They will be recording with local legend, Kevin Ratterman, a Sound Engineer/Producer/Multi-instrumentalist, whose genius was employed in the making of My Morning Jacket’s new album, Circuital. The new, self-titled LP will be released independently and made first available at The Tunesmiths’ debut performance for the WFPK season opening Waterfront Wednesday on April 25th in Louisville. Last year’s Waterfront Wednesday opening show gathered over 10,000 fans!!!
The previously released Your Beloved Tunesmiths EP will no longer be sold, as all 4 songs are being re-recorded. Bryce Gill, lead guitarist, had this to say about the new album:
I really don’t know how this happened. The whole idea of getting to make a full record of our original songs is a bit overwhelming, but in the best way. We are taking this opportunity as if we could never make another record again, and that’s no small potatoes.
